How it’s calculated: each subject’s marks become a percentage and a grade point. The points of your compulsory subjects are added, plus anything above 2.00 from your 4th subject, then divided by the number of compulsory subjects. The GPA can’t go above 5.00.

Percentages aren’t rounded up: 159 out of 200 (79.5%) is an A. Boards also need a pass mark in each part (written, MCQ, practical); this uses totals only.
