Solve linear and quadratic equations and systems of two or three unknowns, with the steps shown.
Mean, median, mode, standard deviation, quartiles and outliers from a list of numbers, with a histogram.
Add, multiply, transpose and invert matrices, with determinant, rank and row-reduced form.
Drag to move around; scroll or pinch to zoom. With the graph focused, ← and → trace along x, Shift+← → and ↑ ↓ move the view, + and − zoom, 0 resets.
f₁(x) = x^2 - 2
x-intercepts in view (y = 0)
y-intercept (x = 0)
y = −2
f₂(x) = 2sin(x)
x-intercepts in view (y = 0)
y-intercept (x = 0)
y = 0
f₃(x) = x/2 + 1
x-intercepts in view (y = 0)
y-intercept (x = 0)
y = 1
How it’s calculated: each curve is sampled about once per pixel, with extra samples where it’s steep. It breaks where the function is undefined or jumps, like tan(x) at π/2. An x-intercept is where the sign changes, narrowed down by repeated halving (bisection).
